Because of my passion for people being able to EASILY thrive and connect in today's world with the people close to them, and much more, there is an offer at the end of this email. Following are two stories that illustrate a tiny part of the
why.
Are you one who love sports, particularly at this time of year, baseball (season recently over) and/or football? My late husband was a fan, along with our sons. This has moved down into the next generation, although, in part, to different teams.
My husband and I were/are native Philadelphians, but moved to Central New Jersey, between New York and Philadelphia, where we lived for 37 years. My older son and his sons are Phillies and Eagles fans (Philadelphia teams). My younger son and his son are avid Mets and Giants fans (New York teams). Grandson Ryan does a daily "Locked on Mets" podcast on YouTube.
My point to the above story is that I am not, nor ever have I been, a sports fan. Yet I do want to keep up with my family's interests. Thus I became very excited recently, when I started asking Siri on my iPhone ("Hey, Siri, what's the Eagles' (or Phillies') score?") during the game or after, including different questions about the game.
"She" would show me the scoreboard and add "her" own voice commentary. Thus I was able to knowledgeably connect with and talk about the games with my sons and grandsons without having had to watch them.
One more Siri story -
In part, I'm including the following mainly for the screen shots. I was in a phone conversation with a friend sharing the above story when Siri heard me mention "Ask Siri" and sending messages. We then heard Siri ask me if I wanted to send a “Are you having fun" text to
Morgine.
When I said that I wanted to add more to it, she then typed that, read it to me and asked if it was ready to send. You'll see in the 3rd image, what my phone sent and Morgine received.
There are many other ways that "Siri" has added ease and efficiency to my life, including setting Reminders (one of my most important and favorite Apps, particularly when it comes to specific times for medications), writing Notes, adding to my calendar, making a phone call or quick text message when in my car at a red light.
I also appreciate asking “her” a quick question, sometimes when I’m in the middle of a project, rather than jumping into my browser. "She" then searches the Internet for me, reads me the response and sends the link. Most, if not, all of this is possible on
Android phones with "Ask Google."
Now, with the holidays coming up, I’m offering the opportunity for you to be able to give a Gift Certificate for Tech Coaching to someone important to you, including yourself, who might be tech
challenged, or simply want to learn more.
Amongst areas that can be covered, in addition to efficiency with the phone, are using Zoom, photos and photo editing and sharing, capturing stories, creating and sharing videos, leaving a legacy, and much more. The coaching is individually tailored to the
recipient and whatever she/he wants or needs.
See the Tech Gift Certificatepage for an image of the Gift Certificate plus more details.
As always, thank you for being in my life. I greatly appreciate you.
