Hi
Have you always wanted to give a TEDx® talk but don't know where to
start?
Or maybe you’ve applied and been rejected and thought you killed your one shot at fame.
You'll learn tips galore in Friday's free web class on “3 Secrets to Landing a TEDx Talk & Other Tips for Being a Successful Speaker” at your choice of three times: 2, 7 and 10 p.m. Eastern.

Here's why this is important. When you give an outstanding TEDx talk, it's not uncommon for hundreds of thousands of people around the
world to see a recording of your talk on YouTube.
Imagine someone Googling your name and the first thing they see is a TEDx talk with more than 300,000 views. That's credibility!
That's also why giving a TEDx talk is so popular. It stands for Technology, Education and Design. And it's a showcase for speakers presenting great, well-formed ideas in under 18 minutes, sometimes as short as 5 minutes.
But there's a lot you need to know to make this happen.
First, most TEDx organizers are flooded with applications from far more would-be speakers than they can accept. Plus, many only accept those based on very narrow criteria, such as being associated with a given university.
Second, the quality of the video you’ll get from your TEDx talk varies dramatically depending on the organizer--which is a huge problem, since coming away with a really compelling, well-edited video on YouTube is the biggest payoff of your talk. A not-so great video might be worse than none at all.
My friend Steve Harrison and his team have helped more than 70 clients land and do TEDx talks in the last few years. They’ve learned an enormous amount in the process, and they’ll be sharing some of that wisdom in Friday's web class.
