Hi
One of the most frequent questions I hear from authors, speakers and experts is, "How do I get a corporate sponsor?"
It isn't easy, but you can do it if your topic is a perfect fit with a company or nonprofit.
Corporate sponsors can grow your following and business by up to 250 percent without spending your own money because they pay for your expenses if you're on a national book, product launch or speaking tour.
Today, Dec. 8, at 2 and 7 Eastern, Steve Harrison will present a free 90-minute web class that explains how to get corporate sponsors to give you funds and resources you need to succeed. He'll interview an author, speaker and entrepreneur about the strategies she's used to land sponsorships with FedEx, Microsoft, Walmart, Dun & Bradstreet, Wells Fargo, Staples, American Airlines, Citibank and many other companies.
Just look what sponsors did for these four authors, speakers and entrepreneurs:
>>>> Carolyn Gross was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Doctors told her she needed a complete mastectomy. She researched how to heal her cancer through alternative medicine and wrote a book called "Treatable and Beatable." She wanted to offer live workshops to spread her message and help other women. That dream was made possible by sponsors including Numi Tea, Aqua Detox, Ambaya Gold Nutrition, and Rubio Cancer Center.
And the best news is Carolyn has been cancer-free for over 10 years!
>>>> Mat Boggs and Jason Miller had a great idea for a book but couldn’t interest a major publisher in signing them because their “platform” (aka “following”) was too small. But then they asked themselves a really smart question, "Since we don’t have any money, who might gladly give us the funds and resources to make our dream become a reality?” They got sponsorships in the form of money and/or services from 1-800-Flowers,
Platinum Guild of America, Southwest Airlines, Hilton Hotels and Fleetwood RV (who gave them a brand-new $150,000 RV for a pre-pandemic national tour). This all led to a Today Show appearance and suddenly many of the same publishers who’d blown them off earlier became interested. They had 13 meetings with major publishers in New York before signing a deal with Simon & Schuster for a hefty advance.
>>>> Harlan Kilstein runs an internet newspaper called Dogington Post. Basically he posts interesting and often funny videos and articles about dogs. He’s not a huge corporation and isn’t famous among dog owners but big corporations including Merrick Dog Food and Black & Decker are sponsoring him. He’s currently in negotiations to have another leading pet food company sponsor him and his website.
>>>> Cynthia Fraser was concerned for the safety of children when they logged on to the internet. She wanted kids to be safe from online predators. Verizon, the phone and internet behemoth, is sponsoring her to teach internet safety to families.
