Happy New Year!
February 2022
Hi Everyone!
It's a new year and I'm happy to be back in the saddle, regardless of the madness going on here and in the world!
More than once I am asked what I do every day. I get 300-400 or more emails every day. In addition to reading and responding to those emails, (and deleting pleas for donations) I am in touch with researchers in foreign countries as well as with researchers in this country. I spend several hours a day doing my own research that I share with others. It's often a long day.
I will continue to focus on the aging issue and what needs to be done to have have an increasingly long healthy life. Your mantra for the new year should be "My chronological age is absolutely meaningless. I WILL work diligently to keep my mind and body as healthy and strong as possible. I CAN AND WILL DO IT!" You go, girl !
Here is what's in the newsletter this month:
Barbara Morris: What's missing in the lives of older people? I have long suspected that our culture doesn't care for old people, other than to get them "out of the way" as quickly as possible. Elders are supposedly told everything they need know to help them stay healthy and live longer but a lot of the advice is useless. Read my article and see what that one thing is that elders need but aren't.
Pat Garner: As you may know, Pat is my incredible daughter. She makes my bed every morning, does all the grocery shopping, takes care of (and folds) my laundry and in general she is amazing. Above all, she is the master of "cool". Very little rattles her. In her article, she explains how she gets it all done. Read her article here: Life is simple but we make it hard
Joyce L. Shafer: Joyce is one of the most incredible intellectual Christian writers I know. She puts an enormous amount of time and effort into preparing her message. She never fails to leave me in awe. Please read it. Here is her article: This brought me to tears
Good stuff to know: This month I included links primarily about the value of diet and exercise for older people. The links are important and I know you will read them and put them into practice. Read it here

I've added a new COVID link in the top line of the newsletter. I'm keeping it apart from the aging material. If you support the vaccine effort, please do not open the link. I say that with as much kindness as I can. I understand not every one is open to the material, and that's okay. You have an absolute right to think, believe and speak as you please -- as do others. It's a Constitutional right.
