You Are What You Eat (And Meds You Take)
Barbara Morris
When I was working as a pharmacist, I learned more about life and love than anyone could possibly imagine. I was in my 70's, in a busy pharmacy serving a large population of retirees. In retrospect, they were happy to be retired but more
than a few were not happy.. More than once, I was told, "Barbara, don't get old --it's the pits" They complained they felt crappy most of the time, did not have enough money and they were lonely. In some cases, it did not surprise me that many didn't feel good, because they were taking 10-12 meds each day. If I called a doctor's office to confirm a patient's medication regimen, sometimes it was met with a bit of a "mind-your-own-business" attitude. After all, the doctor knows what's
best for the patient. Read my article here.

Why Do We Eat When Not Hungry?
Pat Garner
Over the years Pat has struggled with her weight (who of us has not?) and she finally got it figured out. Granted, it's easier said than done, but the important thing to remember is that it CAN be done of you really want to. You have to be tough
with yourself. BUT the thing is, you CAN do what you want to do and when you get it done you will be a tougher and stronger individual for the effort. As Pat's mom I can tell you without hesitation, if Pat ran into a bear on one of her camping trips. the bear would be the loser. This girl knows how to get things done! Read her article

The Time Is Now
Joyce L. Shafer
This month, Joyce contemplates the Russian invasion of Ukraine. She writes: "May we all drawer closer to our LORD Jesus as the end of the age draws near. May we all take this far more seriously than most of us are, especially those who call
themselves Christians. Most have no clue how deceived they are. I see this so often on a particular social site where memes and comments are shared, touted as Christian but going against God—and the people have no clue. “Warning! The Devil is Going to Church” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Z9-8X-U4MM Read Joyce's article here.

Midnight Meanderings
Zenobia Silas-Carson
Zenobia is an exciting and talented writer. She makes the printed word come alive. But what is most outstanding is her intelligence and thirst for knowledge. Her brain constantly thirsts to know more. In her 70's, she knows more and does more than most women half her age and what is so exciting is that she shares what she knows to help others find the kind of
fulfillment in what she does. For example, Zenobia is a Zoom expert and helps others find joy in meeting with others through Zoom. I'd bet that if you asked her, she would be happy to instruct you in how to navigate that important site. This month she suggests many opportunities for seniors to learn and experience exciting new things.Don't miss it. Read her article here
