Stop Anticipating Your Death!
Barbara Morris
Little makes me crazier than when a reasonably healthy 70+ woman or man talks about "not being long for this world" because of their "old" age. In the 1930s people were "old" mentally and physically at age 65 and didn't live much longer than 65 but things have changed dramatically in recent years. It is now common for people to live to 100 or more, but you would hardly know it because our culture refuses to acknowledge the change. We still are
told and believe age 65 is "elderly". Newspaper headlines read,"Elderly woman shoots burglar". Reading the article reveals the "elderly" woman is a rock 'n roll mama who would not be caught dead without her "legal carry" in her belt. Read my article

Oh, - Our Misunderstood Stomach!
Pat Garner
Do you worry about having too much stomach acid? If so, you need to read Pat's column. She writes, "The stomach is probably the most misunderstood organ in the body. If you've ever experienced heartburn, you're probably thinking the stomach is too acidic and causing discomfort. However, heartburn is not caused by stomach acid but from poorly digested foods that backflow
into the esophagus. It's a combo of food and some stomach juices, and the esophagus wasn't meant for the acidic substance, so it burns - consequently heartburn. The stomach is all about the acid. The normal pH of stomach acid is from 1.5-3.0, and when there's not enough acid in the stomach, carbohydrates ferment (and not in a good way), proteins will putrefy, and fats will become rancid. Sounds delightful, right?" Read Pat's article here.

A VERY Inconvenient Reality
Joyce L Shafer
Joyce's article is brief this month. She has discovered a video that explains far more than most of us understand -- it's a real eye opener. Joyce writes,
"I came across an intriguing article title claiming a promise to explain why Elites in power positions tell us what they're going to do (to us) before they do it (https://tinyurl.com/5feyt4r9). It's an article worthy of the several minutes involved to read. And then I did something I seldom do: I looked at the comments.
In the comments was a link to a video by someone I'd never heard of. Led to check it out, I found it to be quite a presentation: You have to watch the screen because words have to be fudged in order for the fact-researched truth to be shared and not banned. I was into it! If you've ever felt like taffy being pulled between the two political sides, you'll discover what's up
with that and that there's a way to stop it-being the taffy, that is." Read Joyce's article here.

Senior Scribblers - Writing And Sharing Our Lives
Zenobia Silas-Carson
Zenobia is one 70-ish women who refuses to sit down and wait to die. She's on her computer, making new friends and corresponding with women all over the country, especially women who love to write. If you are lonely, Zenobia's article will jolt you out of your miasma. Zenobia writes, " Every Wednesday at noon sharp, I can be found staring into the lovely faces of my writing peers via zoom for our weekly Senior Story Time, hosted by the Senior Scribblers. They
are residents of the Senior Center in Franklin, Massachusetts.
I came across this lively group of people quite by accident, but I think it was one of those God connections where several needs are served at one time. There are a couple of Senior Scribblers groups online, but I like to believe that my group is unique because they welcomed me with open arms, and I feel like I've known them all my life." Read Zenobia's article here. (If you are not a writer, there are groups for cooks, crafting, golfing, etc . If you don't know how to Zoom, ask Zenobia to help you.
