This week my colleague Dana Theus hosted a discussion
so we could talk about what a pro-human workplace means,
and how to make it happen.

What it means to have a pro-human workplace.

A few months ago Dana asked me to write a guest post for her site. Topic? the "pro-employee" organization. I shifted it to my favorite topic and talked about my vision for a pro-human workplace. I'm sure you are not surprised.

And then... we decided to make it a coffee break topic. 

In our discussion, we covered topics like the bottom line impact of employee engagement and disengagement, when business IS personal, what being human at work means, bullying and character-based leadership among other things in our 31 short minutes. You can find the recording here

During our coffee break we talked about tips to make the workplace more human. Much of it speaks to managers and leaders about what they can do without designing and launching a new program.
