What's new at ConcordCarpenter?

If you're into tools these next two weeks should be interesting at ConcordCarpenter.   This Wednesday I travel to NYC for the Stanley Bostitch media event which is held annually at the Westin Hotel in Times Square.

In the photo below is friend and home improvement expert Brad Staggs having some fun with a DEWALT level display.    Brads part of my online tool group and produces some of the best video work I know.  Check out his stuff at ToolSkool

The week after next I attend back to back media events, the first event is Milwaukees media event and then close the week at Bosch's media event.... it's going to be a week long tool bonanza marathon.

Rumor has it all three companieas have a few game changing releases for the construction industry.    I'll be posting during the events on Twitter and at my Facebook page here.

Next week we will be installing Warmly Yours radiant heat under tile floor in this bathroom.    Blue taped below is our custom design layout for the floor heat.

I drew this layout on paper, scanned and emailed it to my Warmly Yours  rep and will have a product in a day or two - FAST!

Stay tuned . . .

 What's In A Trash Bag?

By now you might have seen job sites in your area with the bright green bag labeled " Bagster Dumpster In A Bag."  I recently discovered them and now use the Bagster bag as a quintessential part of my remodeling companies waste removal.

Why do I like these bags so much?  Read more to find out how I get the most out of this product.

Digital Photography And Remodeling

I can't tell you how many times I have returned to one of my customers houses to install cabinets or built ins and have relied on digital pictures taken when the room was remodeled to locate items inside the wall.

Locate? . . . You know the things that make puddles or sparks when hit with a nail or screw.
these photos are super useful when chasing a leak and you want to know where the plumbing drain or supply line is.

Knowing what is behind the wall is sometimes half the battle.

Several years ago I started taking mid-construction pictures of remodeling projects I worked on with the intention of creating a digital record for future repairs or remodels.  READ MORE . . .
