What's new at Concord Carpenter

Hey Guys,

I spent this week testing the New Festool CARVEX on site and in the shop, what a nice jigsaw.

We also got a chance to review the Bosch Axle Glide Miter Saw.   Watch our short, 2 minute video on this bad boy tool!

We woke up to 2-inches of snow today and it amazes me that after 6 months of nice weather New England-ers forget how to drive in the snow.

This week we are starting the volunteer snow-melt system walkway project for our friend Rob who is confined to a wheelchair.  More on this tom come.

Telescope Project Back On Track

If you've been following this newsletter or our Facebook page you know we build a telescope dormer and were awaiting the arrival of the telescope dome.   The dome was delivered by ship to a NYC port and then trucked to us.

Last week we put together the dome [See photo album]and plan to hoist it in place this week with a crane.

We call it out 2013 Holiday Tool Gift Guide and sure as hell think these gifts are better than giving a goofy holiday sweater for your FAV contractor or DIY-er.

Check it out . . . and happy holidays!

Its me in a full contact, padded, "simulation suit" used in Rape Aggression Defense [RAD] training for high school girls.

I strongly recommend that all middle and high school girls attend a self defense training for girls at least one time before attending college.  Take the time to learn more about this awesome program, read my article here.

Kershaw Cryo Serrated Spring Assisted Knife

The Kershaw 1555TI Cryo SpeedSafe Knife is a Rick Hinderer designed knife.  Hinderer, a Firefighter and Art knife maker, is known for making CNC precision,  real world, quality rescue and tactical knives that look great.

we immediately were attracted to the Cryos small, compact size and finish.  It has a titanium carbo-nitride coating on both blade and handle but were a bit disappointed after the review  - see why.

Tips for Installing A Snow Melting System

Last week I was interviewed by a radiant floor company that sells a snow melting system, of which I've installed several.
