Concord Carpenter Workshop News

Hi Guys,

This past week we've been busy working in our shop finishing our 18v and 36v circular saw head-to-head testing.

While some of the results were expected we did have a dark horse in the race.   Any quesses?   Check out our Head-to-Head Facebook photo  album.

Helping Others

At ACC we spend a lot of time writing articles to help contractor's become better leaders and more professional within their trade.  We also try to give back to the community when we can.

So it should no surprise that we jumped on the opportunity  to help Push America with their "Build America Experience" build leaders of tomorrow by serving people with disabilities today!   See below.

What is Push America?

Push America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves people with disabilities.

Currently, Push America still utilizes construction and cycling as main vehicles for impact.

Build America

The ACC crew will be helping the "Build America" program which is a six week team event traveling the country promoting accessible recreation for people with disabilities.

From the construction of accessible amenities at camps to wilderness adventures with athletes with disabilities.

Construction is the core

At the core of Build America is the construction of accessible environments and camps serving the disability community.  In six weeks, the team will build accessible fishing piers, nature trails, climbing walls and many other amenities providing opportunities for campers to experience everything summer camp has to offer.

Throughout the summer, the team will log over 4,000 man hours, save camps and communities thousands of dollars in labor and materials and positively impact the lives of thousands of people with disabilities.

Carpenter and Assistant Editor Phil Benevides completed the Push America Challenge and supports the Build America Program and is the driving force at ACC for getting involved in Build America.

How You Can Help Concord Carpenter Help Build America

This coming June the crew at Concord Carpenter is hoping to be able to instruct the Build America Team on tool usage and tool safety.

Over the next several newsletters will be covering the Build America program and asking for tool donations as well as monetary donations through Build Americas donation portal.

It is our hope that if every newsletter subscriber donated just $10 and every tool manufacturer donated tools we could support the Build America team like never before.

Will You Help Build America?

I have included a link to a 4 question survey.  Please click here if you are even remotely interested in helping us on this worthwhile project.
