BAM is is a six week event where a team of 21 young men travel the country performing construction projects such as, accessible amenities at camps, for people with disabilities. These young men make a lasting impact on the lives of people with disabilities, and learn a lot along the way.
Build
America's mission is a truly
selfless act to benefit others and the crew at Concord Carpenter have joined forces with Build America, volunteering to train on tool usage and safety.
One of our carpentry clients has generously donated the use of her barn for the BAM training and it is our hope to instill the importance or service, teamwork, empathy, safe tool usage, and skills in these young men.
The generous folks at Dewalt and Milwaukee have agreed to donate
over $10,000 in tools. These tools donations will be making a
huge impact in the work that the BAM team does.
A HUGE kudos goes out to these two companies for stepping up, as industry leaders, and making a huge impact.
Up to now, the BAM teams have scraped by with insufficient and borrowed tools. the newly donated tools will provide safe, reliable, and efficient work; and aid in accomplishing the overall mission in helping people with accessibility issues!
I'm proud to be working with both Dewalt and Milwaukee - thanks guys!
