Columbia, MO - April 18, 2013 - The Freedom Forum in Santa Cruz, CA has just announced they will be screening Peddling Influence on May 15, 2013. The Freedom Forum is a very active 164-member non-partisan Meet Up group in California that is dedicated to bringing information to their members and local community about everything from GMO's to smart meters to local and national political corruption. In May, they will be exposing mainstream media and screening the new William Lewis Film.

 

"The mainstream's mishandling of information is nearly legendary, as poll after poll shows a sincere distrust in our news outlets. Very few people that I talk with say they trust the media. We've put at least a fair few of the reasons you shouldn't trust them in this film," says Peddling Influence producer/director, William Lewis.

 

As Lewis stated, Peddling Influence exposes several different angles and pieces of information dealing with the advertising, the so-called "experts," outright purchased control, foreign government influence and more.

 

The film discusses how media coverage of important issues shaped public opinion regarding several topics including Aspartame, different aspects of the September 11, 2001 tragedy, the H1N1 pandemic and vaccines, wiretapping, Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Bahrain, and more. Peddling Influence has a special section, Rumors of War, which reviews the propaganda used to gain support for two foreign wars from a non-interventionist nation.
