There's been a surge in interest for Tina Turner's songs following her
death. Her most famous song, "The Best," was first recorded by Bonnie Tyler. It was written by Holly Knight, who told us that Turner had her add a bridge and saxophone solo
to help propel the song. Another Tina Turner Songfact: "Private Dancer" was written by Mark Knopfler, intended for his band Dire Straits.
Another song garnering interest is "Father And Son" by Cat Stevens, which is used in the
last episode of Ted Lasso. That song is set during the Russian Revolution (1917-1923) but tells the story of a generational divide that still applies today.
