Success in Track and Field... and Life
A lot of people have emailed me where I disappeared the last 3 months?  

In short, I ruptured my Achilles tendon during a training workout the day before the Olympics started!  Not the best news, but it did give me an excuse to watch the Olympics all day and all of the night (or early morning in the UK for live events).

Needless to say, the next few months on the Blog will be articles and videos dedicated to injuries: prevention, diagnosis, cures, and, of course, when you completely tear your tendons due to overuse and abuse!  And I will speak from first hand personal experience!

Annual planning, peaking, sports psychology... it's all there.  Unlike a single sprint, I love the round-by-round unfolding drama!

There is more to running a good 100m than just speed and strength training.  

I am a true believer in Rhythm, especially for the 400m.  A 100m sprint may be just 43-50 strides, but how you connect them is another story.
