Hello everyone…

As many of you know I don’t usually send a lot of newsletters out, but I'm feeling I need to send this short newsletter out this week.

Why? Because transiting Mars (which tends to stir things up) is coming to a hard aspect to transiting Pluto by week’s end. If you want to get an image of what this might look like, think about all the years that Mount St Helens in the Northwest was showing the beginnings of an eruption, but no one did anything about it, and then one day it just blew its top destroying the terrain as well as lives.

In many ways this next week is a kind of reckoning asking each of us to take a deep dive into how we can make things better. Making it better for ourselves which, ultimately, improves relations with others. Try making things right if things haven't been right for a long time. Try moving from fixed positions even if it’s just a centimeter!

When Mars comes along and hits Pluto in a hard aspect as it is doing this week going over the lunar South node at the same time, it pushes each of us to purge those things, feelings, or anger that we refuse to give up. This is easy to say and as human beings it's not that easy to do. We all had traumatic experiences somewhere along the line of our lives. Are those deeply embedded traumatic experiences keeping you from having a full and happy life, especially with people you care about?

This is a time requiring the ability for each person to give a little bit on positions frozen over time. Refusing to budge and stay fixed in a thought position, in a financial position, in a relationship position, gets all of us no place except to be in the same miserable place we are right now.

And, of course, when you move the needle a little bit from an untenable position there is still no guarantee that other people will do the same. It isn't for them, it's for you. The reason volcanoes blow up is because things have built up on the inside and without remediation, must go someplace destroying everything in their wake .

It's important to address this issue because October 14th and October 28th are the next two eclipses. The one on October 14th is a solar eclipse at 21° of Libra and very close to the position where Mars has been moving while moving towards Pluto over the course of the two weeks that follow. The October 28th lunar full moon eclipse is the last eclipse in Scorpio and Taurus at 5°. This is very close to the degree at which Chernobyl blew up in the late 1980s. At that time, however, Pluto was sitting on the place of the eclipse.

Opportunities may show themselves in the next few weeks, bringing substantial changes long overdue. A tiny shift, brings benefits far more than one can realize and which will be far more visible as you move into mid-February of 2024 when transiting Mars is conjunct Pluto. In other words, this week is the preview at the movies showing each of us we can shift, if it is, in the end, the right and decent thing to do.

Pluto is all about choice. It’s the choice to be conscious or unconscious. Which choice will you make?

If you do know astrology and you want to hear an archived lecture I presented in the early 90s on Pluto, just go here to download it for free.

And of course, it's the end of the year and the 2024 Cheat Sheet is now available for you to download as well. Keep it at your desk as a quick reference showing when all the planets go direct and retrograde next year along with the eclipses and the ingresses. It also includes mini forecasts for each sign.

Remember: Choice to be conscious is powerful.

Warm regards,
Georgia Stathis
