"I just wanted to thank you for all of your help and hard work. My husband and I can't imagine what we would have done without you and The Baby Sleep
Site®. The information, guidance and support you provided helped us get our lives back on track after 6 months of walking around like sleep deprived zombies. I only wish we sucked it up and contacted you guys sooner!!! Moira is a much happier baby, and my husband and I feel as though we are better parents because we have more energy and enthusiasm when interacting with her throughout the day. We also are able to reconnect as a couple because the baby is in bed at 7pm and we have time to relax,
watch a movie, or just talk before bed... something that we couldn't do for 6 months!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I will absolutely recommend The Baby Sleep Site® to every new mom I know and I am so glad that there are people like you who are able to help families like us!"

Q: Hi there, I have a 9 month old daughter she is waking up 4-5 times in the middle of the night.. she sits up in her crib and waits for me to
come get her to nurse her. She doesn't have a stretch longer then 3 hours before waking up. She is on a pretty good schedule she naps twice a day for 1.5 - 2.5 hours and goes down at night around the same time every night. When I pick her up to nurse her back to sleep at night she is actually eating she not just sucking. Is there a way I can get this habit to go away and have her sleep longer or through the night? Thanks!
A: At 9 months old, we expect just one night feeding for a breastfed baby (none for a formula-fed baby) unless there is a growth concern. So, unless your baby has a medical issue, the most likely issue is that she is associating nursing with sleep and, therefore, wakes frequently for you to "replace" her sleep
association. This is the most common reason for frequent night-waking, so the key is to teach her how to fall asleep without a nipple in her mouth essentially. There are several approaches to do this, so you may want to read up on sleep coaching, in general, or if you're tired of trying to figure it out on your own, then I'd encourage you consider one of our sleep plans, so the work is done for you. We've been making sleep plans now for over 10 years, so it's usually the fastest path to sleep.
Good luck!

Hello,
Whenever I take my boys to the pediatrician, I enjoy talking to the doctor about The Baby Sleep Site®. He has always been so excited hearing about what it is we do! I remember during one visit, he started talking about how hard sleep deprivation can be on both parents and children, leading to symptoms of ADHD, low milk supply for
mom, depression, etc. He was impressed with how many visitors we get to the site nowadays, and what varied backgrounds our sleep consultants have. I always love talking to him about The Baby Sleep Site®, and that got me thinking - maybe you want to talk to your pediatrician about us, too. Maybe you can help your fellow moms and dads out by spreading the word via your healthcare provider! Be sure to share with them how you've found this wonderful resource. We
have even had pediatricians as clients and they are always so thankful to have found us, too.
I hope reading through our weekly newsletter has helped you realize that you are not alone, and that there is hope, and a light at the end of the tunnel. Forward this to a friend, so they know they're not alone, either!
Until next week,
