Good morning,
For the past two decades I have been lucky enough to speak and perform at an annual event for middle school students in Vancouver, BC.
The event includes a house band to provide musical transitions and to keep the kids energized and focused. On more than one occasion the music was led by my friend Matt and his band.
Over the years, while we were hanging out backstage Matt has twice mentioned some sort of physical ailment
affecting him on the day. Both times he accepted my offer to do some tapping together for the discomfort he was experiencing.
Something interesting happened when we were tapping the second time...
I asked Matt a few questions, we did a round
of tapping and then, unprompted, he said, "Wow, you are so much better at this!"
It is sometimes hard to recognize your own progress because change is so incremental. It takes someone who doesn't see us every day to point out how much we have changed.
The change Matt remarked on was not in the way we were tapping. Instead, he noticed the process I used to uncover the root cause of the issues we were tapping for.
Tapping itself is fairly straightforward. The issue isn't how to tap, but what to address with your tapping.
In the process of becoming a more effective tapper we become more skilled at identifying and responding to the root causes of issues.
Last week was the annual Spring Energy Event. The host (and my friend) Jondi Whitis asked me to give a presentation on what I have learned in my personal and
professional transformational journey.
My presentation explored what Matt had noticed: What I have learned about uncovering the root causes of issues more quickly.
This week's podcast includes my full presentation from the event where I share
the four main types of emotional resistance we have to creating change in our lives AND how to identify the specific details so it is easier to tap for them.

I know you are going to find this approach helpful in finding root causes.
Let me know how it works for you,
