Good morning,
One of my favorite parts of tapping is something we call "tailenders".
Tailenders are the phrases and rebuttals that the subconscious mind adds on to any thought or phrase that it doesn't agree with.
For example, if I were tapping on growing my business, I might tap using the phrase "In order to grow my business I am going to make at least five sales this week."
And my subconscious mind might reply with, "No you are not! You have tried and failed before, and you are going to fail again!"
That is the tailender.
I'm sure you are
like me, when the tailenders come up, they sound like your critical voice on steroids. They are negative, condescending and demoralizing.
So if that's the case, why are tailenders my favorite part of tapping sessions?
Because tailenders contain gold!
I believe that tailenders spoken by our subconscious minds are the exact beliefs that stand in the way of us creating an authentic life that we love and are what prevent us from taking useful action.
While it is miserable to hear these thoughts, they come with the benefit of providing a road map for what we should tap on next.
I am constantly sharing this idea with my clients and students and recently received the question, "I am doing a good job of documenting my tailenders, but there are just so many. How do I tap on them?"
That is an excellent question!
This week in the podcast I share how I capture my tailenders, how to decide which ones to tap on first, and how to tap for them.
If you have ever heard your subconscious mind disagree with a phrase that you have tapped for, then this episode is for you.
