Hi ,
Well Covid caught up with this Writer. We keep saying, it is not IF, it is WHEN - so I guess 'WHEN' is here with me now. Hopefully now out of the way, but not before missing out on two Saturdays of Rugby. In the bigger picture of the World, if a game of Rugby is all we have to be concerned with, then spare a thought for our Ukrainian brothers and sisters.
On a bright note, I hope you are enjoying the snippets of Tawa RFC history coming out regularly on the TRFC 75th ANNIVERSARY - from the archives snippets. There are some great memories, hard-case names and comments on the Player etc. All on the way to countdown to 24 & 25 June. Get registered for a great weekend with your Old Mates and Mates yet to be met.
What does isolation mean? How about binge watching 8 games of Rugby on TV? How cool is it to have Tawa Rugby on YouTube? Hopefully our main commentator, David Gaunt will be back soon.
That aside, our Premier Boys traveled to Porirua Park for the Battle of the Bridge and the Sam Saiili Trophy. Sammy's Trophy is safely stored at Norths until at least next Season.
Our Premier 2's fared somewhat better with a win and still top of the table. The next Team on the Ladder is only a point behind, which goes to show how important Bonus Points are. Our Boys seem to be digging in for the long haul, at the half way point. Go well Boys.
