A tough old day at Lyndhurst for the Premiers, last Saturday. As is usual, I
greeted the Team as they came into the Changing Room. There were some heads down and I just said to the Boys “keep your heads up”. Of course we want to win, but even the All Blacks are beatable. This is why it is always advisable to be humble in winning as things do change. I was very impressed with Coach Trent who said “I was a bit peeved out there, but already I am moving on’. Steve and Raps had similar comments. Heads up everyone – we are still in 3rd place on the Ladder!!
The Premier 2’s continue on their mission and currently sit 2nd on the Ladder. Another good win over HOBM. This week the Boys are out at Poneke.
Our Colts had a tough afternoon against Petone, but still nailed a good number of points. This week they will be hoping to change their fortunes against MSP away.
The Reserves are ever so quietly achieving, having had a win last weekend against Poneke. Our Boys sit 2nd on their Ladder.
And the Prezzies keep doing the Bizzo! The Scorers would have been working overtime to keep up with the points in last Saturdays game.
A very impressive display of Super Rugby last weekend. It is one hell of a couple of days when 4 Teams are in contention anxiously waiting for scores to come in to find the final two. This weekend’s Final is going to be a contest indeed. About now I should make a brave prediction. Suffice to say, the Team that can play a constant 80 minutes will take it. I believe that Team to be the Highlanders!
A compassionate moment after the Crusaders game where Sevu Reece payed tribute to Charlotte (on his and Richie Mo’unga’s arms), a young Girl they along with George Bridge had befriended whilst she was battling Cancer. Charlotte had lost her battle on the Monday prior to the game. It is a heart wrenching story on Stuff.
