Well December has arrived again and once again I ask myself where this year went. It's been a bit of a tough one for me but seems to have flown by.

On the other hand time seems to be moving in slow motion with regards to 007. Barbara Broccoli is talking a couple of years before they start Bond 26 at the earliest - Eon is in no rush it seems.

But MGM's new masters could start to get impatient and start to apply pressure. If that happens the real question is how Eon will react. One option that must be attractive is Amazon purchasing Bond outright. That would mean a completely new era for James Bond and a lot of unknowns.

Christmas and New Year

I don't know about you but I'm planning on putting my feet up for Christmas and New Year. Just got a bit of shopping to do before I can get on with the bit I actually enjoy - eating and drinking!

If you're looking to buy a gift for a Bond fan - or drop a subtle hint to someone - then check out our James Bond Gift Guide. It's got gift suggestions for a whole range of budgets.

You'll also find our influencer stores on Amazon and Amazon UK.

News

We recently had the news that Bond in Motion is moving to Brussels in December but the latest news is that Saratoga Automobile Museum now has a Bond in Motion exhibition. It opened in November and is due to run for a year.

MI6 Confidential #66 is now shipping worldwide.  Fleming’s writing captures the sights, and sounds, of Bond’s surroundings in his distinctive journalistic style but the films are alive and rich with the sounds of 007’s locations.

Features

Javier E. Trujillo reviews the first two issues of Dynamite’s newest James Bond thriller, 007! After a high-stakes rescue mission is mysteriously, violently sabotaged, James Bond’s future at MI6 hangs in the balance. What is “Myrmidon” and how does it tie in with a former 003?

Review: 007 #2 from Dynamite

When Ian Fleming sat down to write the “spy story to end all spy stories” little could he have imagined the phenomenon that would result. After it was published in Britain in 1953 Ian Fleming sometimes ungraciously joked that he started writing Casino Royale as a distraction from his imminent wedding. Read the story of Ian Fleming's James Bond books here.

As well as fast cars, glamourous women, high stakes gambling and vodka martinis James Bond is synonymous with exotic locations. It’s unsurprising really as Ian Fleming was well travelled and owned a villa in Jamaica where he wrote the books. This new page is a hub for articles on the James Bond locations from the books and films.

Livestream

I recently returned to the James Bond & Friends podcast to talk about the ideas that were jettisoned from the script that ultimately became SPECTRE with James Page and Bill Koenig.
