Welcome to February's newsletter! We're currently in a drought of James Bond news th0ugh as we await some progress, however small, on the next James Bond film.

Although there have been numerous rumours surrounding the next Bond film - or more specifically about the next actor to play 007 - it's important to remember that most stories are baseless and should be taken with a grain handful of salt.

Reliable info very often leaks before any official announcement is made. However, when it comes to 007, there are very few sources of reliable info as the producers like to keep all details as close to their chests as possible. You need to filter out the noise - and there is a lot of it - to find the true morsels of actual Bond news.

And it's important to remember that betting odds, so often reported by the tabloids as offering meaningful insight, have no bearing at all on the casting decisions. Forget them completely.

I'll continue to monitor reliable sources for updates and join the dots where necessary to provide you with information that is at least credible.

And when there really is some breaking news I'll email you ASAP.
