Happy New Year! I hope you've enjoyed the holiday season and are starting 2023 re-energised and ready to give this year everything you've got!
We've just closed the 60th anniversary year of the James Bond films with a variety of events including all Eon's Bond films being shown again on the big screen, a series of concerts and a documentary focusing on the all important music.
But that doesn't mean there is nothing to celebrate in 2023, with 13 April marking the 70th anniversary of Casino Royale's publication. And whether or not you have read Ian Fleming's books, without that one book none of the rest of it would have ever happened.

Despite a variety of unlikely stories appearing in the tabloids it seems Eon are no further along with selecting their next leading man. Treat with extreme scepticism anything you read in the press, particularly, but not exclusively, the tabloids.

Book-wise, look out for the existing books being published for the first time by Ian Fleming Publications own imprint in April. Once the cover art has been released we'll at least have something to look at.
Issue #67 of the full-colour James Bond magazine MI6 Confidential is now shipping worldwide. As this year comes to a close, so do the celebrations and events to mark James Bond’s 60th
anniversary on the screen. This issue wraps up the coverage of the official Bond anniversary events with an exclusive interview with Michael G. Wilson.
