Hi Bond fan,

A quick newsletter this month as I'm currently on holiday.

The first day of my hols was rather ruined though when I found out my Facebook account has been hacked and, so far, I haven't yet been able to get back access. As a result the Facebook page for The James Bond Dossier isn't currently being updated. I hope to get back access ASAP for regular service. Unfortunately Facebook's process for getting back control of a hacked account seems to have been designed by Franz Kafka...

Anyway, here we go...

News

Bond 26The ongoing writers strike and the recent addition of actors to the strike could well delay the production of Bond 26. The strike began on May 2, 2023, and has put a halt to all writing for film and television.

Bond 26In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast to promote Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan spoke about the possibility of directing Bond 26. Nolan has long been a fan of the Bond franchise, and he has said that he would be “honoured” to direct a Bond film.

OK, I said it would be quick! I'll be back in September, but before that should be enjoying lots of swimming, snorkelling and Blackwell rum.

See you then!
