Greetings Bond fan, I hope your week is going well!

Although the lack of progress on Bond 26 is frustrating we've at least got a new 007-themed TV show to look forward to (fingers crossed). 

In the month's newsletter we take a look at all the big 007 news stories and bring you features on various aspects of the world of 007, from the cars from the Sean Connery era to the James Bond chord!

News

This past month saw an update on Bond 26 from Barbara Broccoli as the publicity for the new Amazon Prime Video show 007: Road to a Million gets into gear. Bond in Motion is moving to Prague and there's a new comic ann9uncement too!

Bond 26 still not underway

Bond fans who were hoping for a big Bond 26 announcement on Global James Bond Day were sorely disappointed. A trailer for the forthcoming Amazon Prime reality show 007: Road to a Million was released but there was nothing about the next Bond film.

Later in the month Barbara Broccoli did speak with The Guardian about the TV show. Asked about Bond 26, she replied that they hadn't yet started work, reiterating comments from last year in which she said they needed to first decide in what direction they should steer the Bond films.

Later in the month Gregg Wilson attended the premiere of the TV show. He reiterated that they hadn't yet started working on Bond 26. 
 

007: Road to a Million

As well as the first trailer for the new TV show, the nine pairs taking part in Prime Video’s upcoming Bond-inspired adventure series 007: Road To A Million were announced later in the month, along with another trailer: New 007: Road to a Million trailer released as contestants revealed

All pairs are in with a chance of winning a life-changing £1,000,000. The new full series trailer provides a greater glimpse at what’s to come. 
 

Bond in Motion moving to Prague

The roving Bond in Motion exhibition is headed for Czechia at the end of this year: Bond in Motion headed for Prague

It opens on 7th December 2023 at the Prague Exhibition Centre and will continue its run until 31st March next year. 
 

New Bond comic series coming in 2024

Dynamite announced the ultimate team-up with MI6’s super spy and one of the greatest comics writers of 007’s native United Kingdom, Garth Ennis. The new series starts this coming January. James Bond comics: new Dynamite adventure coming in 2024


The new series starts this coming January, with the intention to shake and stir the character in a thrilling tale for fans. Confidential is now shipping worldwide.
 

 

MI6 Confidential celebrates 70 years of 007

This 70th issue celebrates seven decades of Bond on the page, with insight from some of the people who know him best: MI6 Confidential #70: Bond at 70









The continuation authors recount their stories of meeting James Bond for the first time and becoming stewards of the character in print.

There are also articles the inspiration for Miss Moneypenny, how Johanna Harwood approached adapting Fleming for the screen, and Octopussy's 40th anniversary is celebrated.
 

Features

Cypher 007 is a new mobile game available on Apple Arcade. This top-down action-adventure places you in the role of Bond as he has to mentally escape the brainwashing of SPECTRE.

Cars from the Sean Connery era

Sean Connery’s third film as James Bond introduced the quintessential Bond car, the Aston Martin DB5.

Report from the launch of the new Fleming biography
