Welcome, Bond fan, to March newsletter.

First off, let's see how Bond 26 is coming along. Barbara Broccoli attended an event at the British Film Institute last month honouring Christopher Nolan. When asked about Bond 26, she replied:

“There’s nothing I can tell you about the next Bond film. There’s nothing. Nothing is happening yet”.


You can take that at face value or not, but past experience is that when something really is happening behind the scenes the there are almost always whispers. At the moment there is nothing, so make of that what you will.

Best advice - dig in for a BIG wait until things start up.

I'm sure Amazon must be pushing them to get started. But Sony found out that pressurising Eon into making the films more frequently had precisely zero effect. And there is aways the possibility that they are planning to sell the franchise. Michael G Wilson is 82 and has complained about the energy required for film making for years. I'm not going to begrudge him deciding he wants a more leisurely life and retiring from the movie business.
