All I Need to Know, I Learned When We Lost an Election

"All I Need to Know,
I Learned When We Lost an Election."

Hello Divine Colleagues,

It is Wednesday morning, November 9th, a little after 10 am pacific time.  As you know, I supported Hillary Clinton.  Hillary lost and Trump won.    She apparently was, as Carl Bernstein put it, "an imperfect messenger of great and good causes."    The same could be said about Bernie.  I have been receiving texts, phone calls and emails from many of you seeking some wisdom to ease your angst.  I am humbled by your trust in my perspective.

Here is the bottom line....this is painful, but it is normal.  In this experience of life on Earth we do not always get the results we want.  When this happens, it is so important to push the pause button and reflect on what opportunities it holds for us.

Hillary supporters played their hand in the game of democracy, and we lost.  We were pushed outside of our comfort zone and witnessed how low the human ego can go.  If we want to rise from this, the healthiest thing we must do is let it go.  Be dignified and graceful. Use these next few months to reflect on what we accomplished, what didn't work, honor what needs to be honored and nurture our desire to move towards the next step.  This will be followed by a winter of hibernation where each of us must turn inward to look deeply into ourselves, repair our personal foundation and make our list of ideas for the next game we are individually called to play.

Let's heed this morning's wisdom from Hillary and Barrack.  It reads like the famous "all I need to know" posters....Do not lose heart or grow weary.  Learn to respect our differences.  Be professional and gracious.  We all want what is best for America, even though we might define "best" quite differently.  Keep your heads up; keep doing the work of perfecting this union. Stay encouraged.  Avoid cynicism.  All of this is essential to how the US moved forward over the last 240 years.  Build on the progress by setting an example in your personal circle of influence.  And of course, from Michelle....when they go low, we go high.

Our time will come again to birth a new and visible game plan.  If we move forward holding high consciousness in ourselves, we will attract even more qualified and inspiring leaders with whom to play the game of enlightenment.

The greatest freedom is the freedom of choice in choosing how to respond to great disappointment.

Hugs, love and light,

Laura
