Personal Stylist Interview
Featuring Marissa Ciccia
Story and Photos by Danae Patchett

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely Marissa Ciccia about her career as a personal stylist and I definitely learned a lot! I've always loved fashion so this was right up my alley!

Marissa started out as a personal stylist on her own time, going shopping for her friends and neighbors. She absolutely loved it! She then started working for an advertising agency, was introduced to the fashion side of it, and landed a spot doing advertising/marketing for TJ Maxx.

Marissa says the best part about her job is making women feel confident and beautiful. Her clients share with her their experiences about feeling “noticed” and “complimented” more than ever before, thanks to her fashion guidance. A well put together outfit is powerful! One of the cons, she says, are her concerns for whether a client will like a piece and/or outfit  she has purchased for them.

And some of the upcoming trends for Spring 2015? Big stripes, colorful bird/animal prints, apron skirts, and Gingham print. And the color of the year is....Magenta!

Marissa mentioned during our interview that she's a bargain shopper. This is something I can definitely relate to! People are always asking where I shop and assume I spend a lot on my clothes. Fashion is constantly changing and new trends arising, which is why I don't choose to buy expensive clothes, shoes, etc. Keeping up with fashion and always looking your best when shopping on a budget is easy, as long as you know where to look and how to put pieces together!
