In this age of Kali the most merciful Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna, appears as Lord Caitanya to freely bestow pure love of God upon the fallen souls of this age. Because Lord Caitanya has a golden hue He is aslo called "Gaura". Lord Balarama also appears as Nitai. So Gaura and Nitai are Krishna and Balarama appearing in this age of Kali to induce everyone to chant the Hare Krishna mantra for easily
achieving spiritual perfection.
