The 4th of July--Big National Holiday in the US
My dear , today, the 4th of July, is a big national holiday in the United States. This is the day in 1776 that the British colonists in North America in the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence announcing the colonies' separation from Great Britain. But the American people in spite of their so-called independence are still slaves of the material nature being dragged
repeatedly lifetime after lifetime through birth, death, old age, and disease. So they have not really gotten true independence. Real independence comes only when we surrender to Krishna because it is then and only then that we become liberated from birth, death, old age, and disease by regaining our original ever-youthful, deathless forms in the spiritual world.
We, devotees of Krishna, celebrate our independence every day by chaniting "Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare / Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare." Please join us in this ultimate celebration.
