Srila Prabhupada's spiritual master, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, said that this material world is not a fit place for a gentleman's living. This means that we are living in a world that is filled up with the rogues and demons, which means that we have to be very strong in our principles of Krishna consciousness if we are not going to be sidetracked by the influenced of the constant association these rascal non-devotees. So, this is the real meaning of, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

So are we going to be wimps? Or are we going to be tough?  This remains to be seen. If we are tough we will take Guru, Krishna and Vaisnavas as our only shelter. And if we are weak will continue to take shelter of the non-devotees.
