ProBlogger agrees… [Become A Better Blogger]

Periscope is worth the time and effort… and the bonus is it's actually an energizing activity.

I was watching one of Darren Rowse's recent broadcasts where he was talking about productivity tips and how he chooses where to spend his time.

And he talked about why he's choosing to invest time on Periscope.

While I completely agree with him, it is still a challenge for me to make the time to get on Periscope daily.

Also, it would be a lot more energizing if you had hundreds of people watching you like Darren has. LOL

So, what should you do...

1. Start watching and interacting on live scopes.

Watching other scopes gets you motivated, gives you ideas and helps you meet other scopers. Also, people will follow you when they see you chatting with others during a scope.

2. Learn from others.

Melissa from BlogClarity has written a fabulous ebook
Periscope for Beginners: A What-to-Scope-About Workbook
and it’s only $4.99

3. Join communities

There are some awesome communities you can join. When you participate with their hashtags, it helps others in the community find you.

Here are a few I have joined...

Also, add your handle to our linky list at - I will follow everyone there.

4. Press Start

Don't stress too much about it. Just start scoping.

On Thanksgiving, spend a few minutes with me on Periscope...

I'm going to be on location at Sears in Seattle from 5 to 8 pm Pacific (8 to 11 pm Eastern) periscoping all about the fun of Black Friday and EARLY Black Friday - ie Thanksgiving Day sales.

(Yes, brands are ALREADY starting to pay attention to Periscope. hint hint)

So sneak a couple minutes on your phone before or after your turkey dinner and pop on to my Periscope channel as I'll be broadcasting about 5 times between 5 to 8 pm Pacific (8 to 11 pm Eastern) on Thursday.

"See" you on Periscope soon!
