Michelle Smith's versatility with her 47 string harp has made her a unique performer, wowing audiences in Australia and USA with her original solo harp performances. She is in constant demand, particularly for high profile events and is Australia's only jazz harpist.
She gradually made her way to the harp after years of piano, guitar and cello playing, writing original scores for independent films which landed her a WASA nomination for "Best Original Score."
Michelle has received critical acclaim for her version of Jimi Hendrix "Red House." She has also played with electric string quartets, Jazz trios and has performed with national circus troupes. Michelle is currently available for your next event as a soloist, duo or jazz trio (Saxophone, Bass and Harp).
