UTA adds big names below the line, but will CAA add James Wan? Check out this edition of Notes From the Rep Biz!

At WME:

The Crown and Outlander co-star Tobias Menzies has signed with Brian DePersia and Jessica Kovacevic.

Actress-on-the-rise Dominique Fishback (The Deuce, The Hate U Give) is now represented by a team that includes Phillip Sun and Michelle Bohan.

WME has also signed the director of the much-clamored-for Planet of the Apes reboot, Wes Ball, and his Oddball Entertainment outfit. The points there will be Jeff Gorin and Phil D'Amecourt.

At UTA:

UTA has signed two stars hailing from Mexico: Mauricio Ochmann, whose team includes Ali Benmohamed and Jason Heyman, and Armando Espitia, who will be repped by Houston Costa and Theresa Peters.

And Then We Danced director Levan Akin has signed with a team that includes Bec Smith and Rena Ronson.

UTA has welcomed to the fold a pair of production agents, formerly of WME, David Morris and Jason Garber, who between them rep the likes of Oscar-winning make-up artist Kazu Hiro and Oscar-winning editor Mark Sanger.

At CAA:

Actor Chris O'Dowd (Bridesmaids, Get Shorty) has signed with Hylda Queally.

Actress Daniela Melchior (upcoming Suicide Squad sequel, pictured above) has signed with a team that includes Shauna Perlman, Charlie Jennings and Danielle Shebby.

In unconfirmed but potentially significant news, literary agent Scott Henderson is rumored to be joining CAA. Henderson, who has parted ways with Paradigm, would bring with him one of the most lucrative brands in all of Hollywood in director James Wan, whose credits include Furious 7 and Aquaman, and whose Saw series is back for another round this year.

Filmmaker Aneil Karia (Surge, Sundance 2020) is a new sign for Jon Cassir and Sue Carls.

At ICM Partners:

Filmmaker Francis Annan, director of the Daniel Radcliffe film Escape from Pretoria, has signed with Doug MacLaren and Daniel Cohan.
