An Adrien Brody sighting, multiple reps with new homes, and a political star to UTA! It's Notes From the Rep Biz!
 

At CAA:


Adrien Brody, an Oscar winner for his 2002 performance in The Pianist, has signed with Andrew Tsoules.

Accomplished TV director Victoria Mahoney has signed with a team that includes Brian Kend and Sonya Rosenfeld.

The agency has signed a pair of New York theater stars in Tony winner Susan Stroman and Lear deBessonet.

The agency has also recruited two talent agents on the rise to its ranks. Bradie Steinlauf has joined CAA from APA, while Mitch Bukhar has come over from WME.


At WME:


Mayans M.C. actor JD Pardo is a new sign for agents Brandon Liebman, Hanley Baxter and Daniel Molina.


At UTA:


UTA has been busy signing actors on the upswing of late. These include Chilean breakout Mariana Di Girolamo, theater star Will Hochman and Daisy Haggard, creator of the new Showtime series Back to Life.

Other notable new signs for the agency include legendary comics author Frank Miller (Sin City, 300, The Dark Knight Returns) and author/politician Stacey Abrams.

Paradigm has signed veteran comedy actor (and VO specialist) Chris Diamantopoulos, as well Drag Race judge Ross Mathews and filmmakers Alice Austen and Kirill Mikhanovsky (Sundance hit Give Me Liberty).

Actress Bree Condon, who can soon be seen as Kimberly Guilfoyle in Bombshell, has signed with Jeff Witjas, Paul Santana and Barry McPherson at APA.

Television writer Ben Queen is a new sign for Verve.

Modern Family vet Danny Zuker has a new manager — George Heller at Brillstein.

Talent manager Johnny Webster makes the move from Industry to Thruline, bringing with him clients that include actresses Keala Settle and Chyna Lane.
