Hi

In December, I was thinking of how sad it would be if I had to throw away an old Masonic book, simply because of its tattered condition. Then it occurred to me, that instead of abandoning it to the darkness of a bookshelf or discarding it altogether, I could use some of its pages to create something new. 

I took this book, which a Brother gave me, and I began a collection of art that pays tribute to the cycle of creation and destruction. The first installment in this collection is titled "Unlocking Knowledge". 

I took one of the pages of this book, read through it and began a sketch that was inspired by the words of that page. That is how this artwork was born. In it, you will find familiar symbols including the square & compasses, the sun, and the moon. It also contains symbols of beginnings and ends; Symbols of creation and destruction. We would love for you to be a part of this symbolic renewal of life by taking what once was a neglected page and making it a part of your personal collection.
