The ripple effect of creating handmade
scrapbooks is a journey filled with joy and meaningful moments.
If you're like me, it all begins with choices. Scrapbooking has made me more aware of how I spend my time. Since I started preserving memories, I make more time to explore new places and to go on fun adventures with friends & family. This brings more laughter, love and wonderful memories into
my life.
The ripples continue as we carefully select the photos to include on our pages. We find ourselves transported back in time, reliving those cherished moments with a smile on our faces and warmth in our hearts.
Then comes
the magical process of crafting each page infused with the love and joy of those memories. And oh, the joy that comes when we flip through those finished pages and share them with family and friends!
This, my dear friends, is the beautiful ripple effect of handmade scrapbooking—a journey of love, creativity, and cherished memories that touches the hearts of
all who experience it.
I hope you will enjoy the pages our design team shared this week using the Ripples Dies, and please join us on Facebook each day for a countdown of great page inspiration now - until our Annual Die Sale begins on April 17th.
The Ripples Die Set mimics small waves which is perfect for your water layouts.
The Ripples Die Set comes with seven dies measuring 4x1 to 4x4 grid sizes, but they do not completely cover the grid on their own. You've got to stack
them, place them together or use the Basic Dies as mats to completely cover the grid. Jodi stacked four of the dies to complete this water getaway page.
She used the largest 4x4 Ripples die to crop her two photos of her kayaking daughter. Then, she stacked three dies in different colors on the ends of the photos to complete the 4x5 die sections. We
love how she used the back of 12x12 Dune Grass grid paper for the last piece of her Ripples stack. Jodi then used the same Dune Grass, orange, and navy card-stock for mats for her other photos to tie the whole layout together.
Using the Ripples dies on a water layout is a great way to use the Ripples Die Set.
Like a stone thrown in a pond, the Ripples Dies can create a chain of ripples that can extend over your whole layout.
Paije created a ripple effect on this layout about window shopping at a fancy boutique store called Love Shack Fancy. By repeating similar patterns with
cardstock and patterned paper on the top, right, bottom and left of the 4x6 focal photo in the center of the layout, it mimics a stone thrown in a pond with ripples that are moving outward.
To get the very slim golden ripple, Paije layered a few of the Ripples dies on top of each other. In that way, you can create an unlimited number and size of
ripples on your layout; and of course, all different colors and designs of patterned paper.
In this way, the Ripples dies can be used on any type of page to make movement on a layout - a big statement with beautiful wavy patterns. You don't have to limit the Ripples Die Set to only water layouts. Paije shows us that in addition to adding interest and
movement to a layout, this can be a masterful way to use up space when you don't have as many photos to fill the page.
Create a ripple effect on your next layout by layering the Ripples Die Set.
