Published: Mon, 11/27/17

Hello!

November seems to have flown past -- if you've been taking part in NaNoWriMo, I hope you've had a fantastic month (whether or not you hit the 50,000 word goal).

We'll be sticking with Wednesday again for our chatroom hour: and this week, we'll be having a writing hour -- so if you need to get some last-minute words done for NaNo, or if you just want to make some progress with your writing, come along. :-)

In the rest of today's email:
- Blog On - Week Three Begins Today
- Two Years Ago: Planning, Structuring and Pacing Scenes, with Roz Morris
- Chatroom writing hour: Wednesday 8PM - 9PM

Two Years Ago: Planning, Structuring and Pacing Scenes, with Roz Morris

Two years ago, we spoke to author and freelance book doctor Roz Morris about the individual scenes of your novel, the building blocks which go together to create the larger whole.

You can get the audio seminar here, along with a worksheet and full transcript:

The seminar covered:
  • Why you need to start your big-picture planning with characters
  • The importance of beginning, middle and end within scenes
  • What to do when a scene goes off-the-rails
  • How to adjust the pacing of your scenes
You can discuss the seminar on the forums here:

Chatroom hour: Wednesday 8PM - 9PM
Our Chatroom hour this week is Wednesday again from 8pm - 9pm (UK time).

This time, we'll be having a writing hour. Come along at 8pm, tell us what you'll be working on ... then get writing. :-) Then, come back just before 9pm to let us know how you got on.

You can find the chatroom here: www.writershuddle.com/chat

Happy writing!
