Who will be the next WROF Premier Scholar?

WROF, Inc is pleased to announce that applications for the WROF 2022-2023 Premier Scholarship are now being accepted until Monday, April 11, 2022. The WROF Premier Scholarship is an award of $5,000 to be presented to a Wisconsin high school senior pursuing post-secondary education and planning to return to rural Wisconsin upon graduation. Applications will only be accepted via a form available on our website.

Peyton Clark, WROF 2020 Premier Scholar

Having grown up on her family's dairy, beef, and crop farm in Ontario, WI, Peyton graduated from Brookwood High School in 2020 with hopes of bringing agriculture to future classrooms. Peyton began her Elementary Education degree at Western Technical College. Next year, she will finish her degree at Viterbo University. This busy student is gaining experience in a childcare setting, while already making big differences in the lives of young people. Peyton says that her greatest challenge so far in her practicum is the 4-year-old classroom. "They are full of energy and they all want your attention at once; however, I love their fun, energetic personalities," says Peyton.

Reed Martens, WROF 2021 Premier Scholar

Reed was raised on his family's dairy farm of 300 goats in Thorp, WI. He has started his own herd of goats which he plans to increase. When he graduated from Thorp High School in 2021, Reed knew that he wanted to learn more about the business aspect of farming so that he could improve and expand his family's farm when it becomes his. He chose to attend UW-River Falls for its reputation as an outstanding agricultural school to earn a degree in Agriculture Business.
