Jeanette's Message
Happy Superbowl Sunday! I have a feeling that many of you won't be reading this email until Monday or later. :-) If you're a football fan, I hope that you enjoy the game and are happy with the outcome! I don't have a favorite team this time around, but I do love the exuberant spirit and togetherness that this beloved sport evokes in so many of us this time of year. Whether you're a football fan or not, I wish blessings of safety and good fun for you and your loved ones. Let me also take this time to wish you a Happy Valentines Day. May you know and feel in your heart how very loved and appreciated you are in this world!

Five Minutes of Fitness After Fifty, Video Episode #10, Leg & Core Strength Workout
These moderate leg and core strength exercises will help you with your balance and with chores that require lifting. Even five minutes of fitness done now and then can make a measureable difference in how you feel! You'll need optional hand weights and an optional chair. Play video by clicking here or on video image.

Time For You. Take a Pause.
Have you checked in with yourself today? How are you feeling and what are you thinking? What are you focusing on in this "NOW" moment? Are you feeling good because you're tuned into what you want in life and enjoying your life pursuits, or are you feeling down because you're tuned into what you don't want (such as negative circumstances or issues) and therefore lacking inspiration? For those times when you may feel stuck on the negative, then here's a worthwhile practice... Read more by clicking here.

Easy, Healthy Recipe: Crock Pot Lentil Soup
Lentils, my favorite legume, may be small but they pack a might nutritional punch! They are high in protein and fiber, low in fat, and they provide folic acid and iron. Click here for an awesome lentil soup recipe! This hearty, healthy soup will  give you energy without weighing you down.

Class News
Wow! The recent trial Chair Aerobics class in San Rafael had a fantastic turnout! I love the enthusiastic response that we had, and I'm really looking forward to launching our first Goldenaires Chair Aerobics session: Feb 6 - Feb 27, 2012. This moderate, seated class is for seniors 62+ who want to improve their health and well being, but are not currently able to participate in my more vigorous exercise classes. Click here for more info. The lovely gal in the photo is Margaret Friedman, who currently attends my Novato Chair Aerobics Class at the Margaret Todd Senior Center. At 92, she's one amazing woman and has been attending various Youthful Hearts classes since 1994!

Newest Workout DVD
I'm happy to offer my newest Still Going Strong DVD, home workout #4, geared toward the active boomer and senior generations.  It includes a full hour workout plus an express workout, with exercises to optimize strength, balance and flexibility, exactly what we tend to lose as we age unless we do what we need to do to prevent or reverse it. Click here for more info or call me at (707) 642-3603.

In my last newsletter issue I announced a drawing for a free copy of this new workout dvd. Congratulations to Camille Scontrino--the lucky winner!
