"Many see care as soft, but it’s anything but. Care is a tough, muscular concept. It takes courage to care. It takes passion to stand up for someone or something you believe in and care about." ~ Maria Shriver
Something is happening. Something good. A realization. A deepening. An awakening. Do you feel it?
It seems to me that, even in the midst of all our present challenges, something soft and strong is moving in us, around us, and among us. Caring. Compassion. Love.
Like a flood flow of water, along with outrage, pain, confusion, and frustration, love is rushing us toward something good. I think includes reverence. It is possible? Do we dare imagine it? I do.
It's a rushing for many of us right past tolerance, right over acceptance, right on to something that includes respect. But it's even more wondrous. It's reverence. Reverence for all people. Reverence for all creation.
With hope,
Charlene
