"A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life. " ~ Christopher K. Germer
My touchstone reflection below, on the touchstone quote above, happens to be another quote. It's from "Scrambled Eggs with a Side of Compassion," which is one of the stories in my forthcoming book The Twelve Gifts from the Garden: Life Lessons for Peace and Well-Being.
"I wish we would all forgive ourselves for all the times we thought of ourselves as not strong enough, not good enough, not thin enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough, or just not enough in any way. Enough of that. We are enough.
"True foregiveness. Sweet compassion. Unconditional love. It's what we all deserve."
Let's make compassion, for ourselves and others, a way of life, our way of life, our way of being.
For good,
Charlene
