Dear students and families,
Thank you for submitting your thoughtful application for our first-ever Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation, Inc. Premier Scholarship.
We received over 300 outstanding applications! A Selection Committee of 15 diverse and dedicated judges spent several weeks online reviewing the applications. The time they invested personally reading each application was significant. The judges shared that they were both impressed and overwhelmed with the quality of your application! You should be proud and grateful for
the excellence you are demonstrating in your academic performance, your community service and your daily interactions with those around you. You make a difference in your family, community and rural Wisconsin. Thank you for honoring us with your story.
Parents, your children are doing remarkable work. You richly deserve to be proud of them. They reflect your values, work ethic and high expectations. Thank you for serving as tremendous role models for these young people.
We are thrilled to celebrate you all!
It is also our honor to announce that the 2020 Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation, Inc. Premier Scholarship has been awarded to Peyton Mykel-Marie Clark from Ontario, Wisconsin. Peyton graduated from Brookwood High School and her parents are Todd and Tracy Clark. She will receive up to $2500/semester towards her tuition for up to four semesters for a
total award of $10,000. Peyton is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Western Technical College. She is deeply involved in her family dairy, beef and crop farm and looks forward to bringing agriculture into the classroom upon her graduation as she teaches in her home rural area.
Because you were all so tremendous, our Selection Committee asked if there was any way the WROF, Inc. could provide more than one award. In light of this, I invited our Board to consider providing a personal financial investment to allow us to make additional 2020 awards. Several members of our WROF Board of Directors generously provided gifts to fund nine additional $1000
awards.
Therefore, in addition to Peyton, I am delighted to share the recipients of the first-ever 2020 WROF, Inc. Board Scholars. Each of these students will receive a $1000 award this year to use towards their education this fall. The students, and their Board scholarship donor, are:
