In April 2015, at the Honors and Awards Program, Chancellor Andrew Leavitt presented your scholarship on stage to Melissa Brueggeman, left, and Amy Schindler, on the
right.
As a young girl, Melissa Brueggeman of Ontario, Wisconsin learned the value of work on a family farm, milking cows, and feeding calves. Today, her dream of becoming a nurse is within in reach. She holds a 3.96 GPA in her two and a half years at UW-Oshkosh.
Amy Schindler is a first generation college student who grew up on a family dairy farm in Curtiss, Wisconsin. Working long in long-term care and caring for her
grandfathers motivated her to become a nurse with a special interest in hospice care. Thank you. The Wisconsin FFA Foundation is proud to support our over 19,400 Wisconsin Association of FFA members by providing opportunities to develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. We are incredibly honored to have the Wisconsin Rural Opportunities
Foundation join us in that effort. Our members are the future leaders of the agriculture, food and natural resources industries and the WROF is having a direct and meaningful impact on their future successes. Thank you.”
