Hey ,
Perimenopause is a phase of life as women, when the signalling to our follicles and to our ovaries is going to start to slow down.
Ovulation is going to happen less often, and a lot of our key hormones are going to start to decline.
DHEA, which is produced in part
of your adrenal glands, will start to decline.
Your body's ability to produce healthy amounts of cortisol and regulate the way that you use cortisol is going to shift.
How you are producing estrogen
How you are producing progesterone
How you are producing testosterone
AND how these three interact with one another will start to shift too.
Symptom wise, when these sex hormones are lower, you will FEEL it.
How does it feel?
Your energy is going to be lowered
Your resiliency to stress is going to be lowered
Your mood is going to be lowered
Your libido will be lowered
And not even just your sex drive - your drive in general will be lowered
Now, every woman's experience will be different.
Some women will feel a gradual shift over several years. And some women will feel like they woke up and something
changed overnight.
It's really dang hard when you have unstable hormones of any kind to show up in every aspect of your life the way you need to.
It can impact…
Your family life
Your relationships
Your career
How you parent
And so much more.
And if you have unstable hormones in conjunction with lack of good quality sleep, lack of hydration, lack of mineral support, lack of stable blood sugar -- this becomes even MORE challenging.
And the reality here is that Perimenopause is on average, an eight to twelve year period of time
for women!
So if you're thinking about it, if you start to have some of these symptoms we're talking about into your late 30s, but you don't go into full menopause until you're in your early to mid 50s, that's a long period of time.
It’s VITAL that you educate yourself
It’s VITAL that you work with someone who can help you
understand the WHY behind what you're feeling
