Hey
One of the reasons I'm so passionate about teaching women about Perimenopause is that often, we feel good...until we don't.
As women, we're experts at downplaying signs and symptoms, attributing tiredness to being a mom or the busyness of managing multiple roles. While these factors can contribute, there are also profound
hormonal changes happening in your body that deserve attention.
While I no longer work with women one-on-one in the health space, I still work with women every day in our clinical practice, in one way or another; over-seeing client cases with my coaching team, collaborating with our coaches over test results and seeing comment after comment hit my inbox.
The most common thing I see is how many women are showing the not-so-obvious symptoms that are actually connected to Perimenopause.
These are the symptoms that women live with every day that they often brush-off as part of being a woman in her 40's (or close to it).
It might feel something like this...
- You’re gaining weight around your waist, bra strap and upper arms
- You’re gaining weight even though you aren’t changing anything
- You’re feeling puffy and inflamed on a regular basis
- You’re experiencing hot flashes and hormonal swings
- You feel anxious, have brain fog and find it difficult to focus
- You feel down and can’t pull yourself out of the funk
- Your moods are all over the map
- You’re constantly gassy or bloated, no matter what you eat
- Your hair is falling out in clumps, especially in the shower and after
- You wake each night, usually between 1-4 am, with your to-do list running through your head and it takes hours to fall back asleep
- Your libido and desire have become obsolete
These are like red flags that present themselves before the bigger issues start to show up. Paying attention to these can help you become proactive on your journey through Perimenopause.
This is why becoming more educated about what’s happening in
your body during this phase and having a plan of support could transform your life. It’s only then that you can truly be an advocate for yourself!
If you need export support, coaching and
accountability to help you through this phase - that's why I created the Women's Wellness Clinic.
