Do you enjoy the workbooks that we use at our enrichment classes?
One of the Author of those is GM Susan Polgar! The first ever female GrandMaster!
She will be here this weekend for a tournament that she founded 13 years ago: The Susan Polgar Foundation National Open for Boys and Girls!


Event if your child hasn't participated in any tournament, it's no reason to miss this event! We have special sections: K-Grade4 under500 and K-Grade8 under800 sections, a 1-day sections for you to attend and be a part of this amazing event!

Last Change to register for the Susan Polgar event! What better way to continue after the amazing Super States!


If you need a bit of convincing:
- Susan Polgar is the first female GrandMaster and will be at the event ALL WEEKEND to meet, greet, take pictures, and answer ANY questions you might have. What better person to ask for some advice?
- Event is at the Livermore Recreation Center: amazing venue with beautiful surrounding during between round!
- We have sections for boys and girls SEPARATE! also we have 1-day sections for those who can't make it for both days (and rated under800)
- We will have many fun side events, GM Daniel Naroditsky & GM Zviad Izoria will be of attendance as well!
- over 150+ trophies will be distributed, and medals to all others who are not getting a trophy!
- if you win the top section: you have a Full Scholarship to WEBSTER, a 4-year university with the strongest chess program in the US!


Since we have the space, we'll be holding off with the late fee for one more day! Please, register by midnight Tuesday to be able to pay normal entry fee!

Friday evening we'll have 20-board Simultaneous Exhibition with GM Susan Polgar. We still have a few more spots left, first come first serve! Location is the BAC office in San Jose! Come one, come all!

Fee Championship sections: $54 ($69 after 4/30 - EXTENDED DEADLINE)
Reserve sections: $47 ($62 after 4/30)
Simul, Blitz, Puzzle side-events: $20 ($30 after 4/30) - only few more spots left for the Simul!

Championship Sections

Championship sections - 2day tournament on Saturday and Sunday
10 Sections are based on AGE:


Under Age8, Under Age10, Under Age12
Under Age 14 or Under Age16/18


How to determine? How old was the player on Jan 1st 2018?
That's the section every player should go.
May 2018 Supplemental and TD discretion used when determining ratings.

Trophies to:
Top 15 players in each sections
Winning record required for trophy - medals to all others.

for the Winners of Age 16/18 Boys and Girls sections!
