Happy New Year!

 

BAC Clubs will be reopening THIS weekend, on Saturday January 5th!

Announcement: The Milpitas Club has moved to a new, nearby facility in San Jose!  The new address is:    1510 Oakland Rd. Suite #120, San Jose, 95112   
The club will still be hosted by Coaches Jason and Matt on the same day and time as the previous location (Saturdays, 9-11am).  Milpitas bundle-purchases will naturally transfer over to the new Club.

 

Special Promotion:
For the Month of January (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th), The NEW San Jose Chess Club will feature a free bonus hour of the ever-popular Strategy-Games curriculum, from 11am to noon, immediately after chess!  A free hour of fun and learning!

San Jose Rising Star
Special non stress, non rated, fun practice event
for those first time tournament players

Once every month!

Is your child getting more and more excited about chess?
Is your child bugging you to bring them to a chess tournament?
Do you think they can use the next challenger in chess?

We have just the event for you! 
The San Jose Rising Star event will be Bay Area Chess' opportunity for first time players to play a non-rated tournament and a seminar for the parents.

Rising Star: Combo event for players and parents

Times: 10am - 1pm (but usually done by noon)
 
Rising Star Tournament
NON-RATED quad tournament in which the player is guided through
the process including etiquette, expectations, and everything else

Time Control: G/30; d5
(Game in 30 minutes with 5 second delay before each move.)

Prizes:
Trophies to ALL players regardless of final score!


Rising Star Seminar
For first time parents to learn everything necessary to guide their
child through future tournaments
