Dear , Want to sell more? Use more bullets. I'm serious. One of the biggest mistakes I see when critiquing clients' marketing materials, letters, etc., is the appearance of BIG BLOCK OF
PARAGRAPHS. It makes it nearly impossible for the reader to focus, read it all and absorb. Instead, use short paragraphs and sentences.
Like this. Also, used numbered formats and bullet points. Why? 1 -- It acts as eye-relief 2 -- Small "bite-sized" pieces are easier to follow and won't overwhelm 3 -- Comprehension, response, and also sales will increase
(Just like what I just did above.) Similarly, bullet points get the same results. Simply using bullet points
instead of (or in addition to) numbered lists works great as well. Think this is too simplistic to work? Think again.
This is one my secrets for boosting sales. Try it out yourself.
And
don't worry that you're violating the composition rules your learned in 5th grade. Do you want to write "properly" or do you want to write profitably?
