Astrology Made Simple

Published: Sun, 05/21/23

I (Vie) need your help!  I am working on making astrology simple to understand while not "bastardizing" it.  Yes, that is a technical term.  :-)

After reading to the end, could you please reply back to us and let me know your honest opinion?  You can be as brief as you like.

1.  Does all this make sense to you?
2.  Do you believe it could help you in any way, shape or form?

Thank you in advance for all your help!

We are two thirds of the way in May but somehow nature's Vata bio-energy does not want to let go here on the mountain.

Over the past few weeks we have been experiencing some major northwest wind gusts along with drastic temperature changes.  Our newly planted flowers, bushes and trees are having to learn to adapt very quickly.  Nevertheless I am certain that in the long run they will appreciate this challenge!

Not surprisingly, this weather pattern is overall inline with the current astrological theme.  Hold on, adapt to the drastic changes and rejoice.   Or, ayurvedically speaking, use the chaos (that the Vata in excess is creating) to your advantage.

Jupiter, the principle of expansion, has just entered in Taurus, the ultimate Kapha sign of Mother Nature.
Jupiter is also next to the North Node (symbolizing our ultimate goal) indicating that Mother Earth could ultimately help us expand our awareness and reach our goals.

Pluto, the principle of regeneration is now moving in a retrograde motion in the Vata / Kapha sign of Aquarius, where human connection takes shape.  The retrograde motion should not scare us, it simply means that Pluto is giving us some much needed extra time to figure things out.  Pluto is forming a 90 degree angle with the North Node which means that we have to make a significant change or at least re-evaluate how we wish to see our future self as a member of a community.  Jupiter is also forming a 90 degree angle with Pluto which means that our expansion (in whatever area of life that is) requires us to make a big shift in terms of our contribution to our community.  We may have to reinvent ourselves in terms of what we contribute and what we receive as a member of a community.

Chiron, the principle of objective observation is in Aries, the ultimate Pitta sign of initiative.  However, Venus in Cancer is forming a 90 degree angle with Chiron, meaning that we may have to give up things or situations that we are emotionally attached to should we decide to act upon the findings of our observations.  This is also reinforced by the fact that Mars, the principle of action, is now entering in Leo, the Pitta / Kapha sign of duty and responsibility and is right across from Pluto (180 degree angle).  In other words, taking responsible action requires us reinventing ourselves.

The Sun, the principle of life is now entering in Gemini, the ultimate Vata sign where thoughts and ideas flow in abundance.  At the same time, Mercury, the principle of communication, is in Taurus forming a 60 degree angle (nice and easy) with Saturn (principle of prudence and structure) in Pisces (the sign of beliefs). This means that we are not alone in all of this and we should not isolate ourselves from one another.  The more open we are to communicating with others, the more opportunities will be created for us to grow stronger as an individual, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Vesta, the principle of dynamic balance is right next to Uranus, the principle of originality and ingenuity as opposed to "normalcy". They are both in the sign of Taurus, where anything that happens has deep impact.  This reinforces the fact that in order to restore and/or  preserve the much needed ayurvedic balance (Vesta) we may have to reinvent ourselves (Uranus).  This may sound counter-intuitive.  How can we maintain "balance" through "disruption"?  Carl Young's quote I guess answers this way better than I would:  To be normal is the ultimate aim of the unsuccessful.

What an exiting time to be living in!
